Beach Day!!

We were finally able to pay a summer visit to Walleys beach!!!

This had been looming on our "summer must do" list for weeks and weeks and the kids were delighted one afternoon when John and I announced that we'd be going out for a few hours.   (They were marginally disappointed with the "only a few hours" part of it, but they weren't about to wast precious lake time arguing.)

Jewel and her kids met us out there too, which always makes it extra fun for my kids.  
And even better - they brought Brooke's new kayak!

True to our word, after a few hours we made the kids pack up and get ready to head for home.   

Not a single one of my kids wanted to leave, but we promised to return soon.  

Here's hoping there is at least one more beach day coming our way.
