Mommy doesn't ask for much

I truly feel that there is not much I NEED in order to be happy. Sure my life isn't perfect-but it is great. I'd like to think that I'm capable of creating my own happiness and that I don't need a bunch of stuff to make me so. Still though, there are three things that I've always felt, if I only had them, then life would truly be perfect. A "wish list" of sorts, if you may. Nothing major, just three little requests.

1) One wicked awesome totally great personality.
2) The assurance that nothing will ever go wrong.
3) Perfect Health + Wealth (since those rhyme it only counts as one:)

See that is ONLY THREE things! I hardly think that is asking too much. Some people have lists that are endless and I only have three itty bitty things on my list.

This past week however has opened my eyes to another desire. Something I've rarely had to think about. It is truly a luxary-yet until now it is something I have always taken for granted. ...HEAT!

Yes I've posted a picture of our sad little furnace before (the first time we had problems with it), but this time the damage has been more extensive. For some reason, something in our furnace is burning up all the wires. Fire? A "Hot" wire...who knows? Needless to say there is a lot of crispiness in there and it is literally toast. We are having a heck of a time finding anyone who can fix it. Either they don't have the ability, or they don't have the time. At first this all seemed fine. Sure we can live without a furnace right? We're coming up on summer here, and when the weather is nice we can tough it out just fine. Remember - I'm easy to please. Problem is, it isn't nice out. It is cold. Rainy. Windy. It's been almost two weeks since we started using space heaters at night.

So I'm going to take the liberty of adding only ONE more thing to my very meager wish list, and I hope this won't make me seem too unreasonable or anything.

So at the risk of sounding selfish here it goes. Item #4:
I WANT HEAT in the form of a New furnace. (Uh oh yeah...and it be great if we could get it for free.)

That's all I ask for;)

I love the Paul Brandt song....I sing it when we are on road trips and Darren laughs at me. You are so funny...anyone would wish for heat. I like to whine about not having a dishwasher, washer and dryer and climbing up 4 flights of stairs to come home with two kids and a huge tummy......so there you go. I am the biggest whiner. i hope you get it fixed soon and you can cross great personality off your list because you have it for sure.

Funny post. But seriously, come over for a sleep over until your heat gets fixed. There's a whole summer ahead with camping trips when you can all huddle together to keep warm....save it for then and do my girls a favor and have a sleepover!!!

Oh man that sucks! Nothing worse than a cold house! I hear ya on the list though - very well compiled I must say!

Well, that's a great, simple yet specific list of things you want in life. I'm no expert, but I'm thinking you will be getting that new furnace, though the "free" part may come with a credit caveat.

Well, pretty sure you got number one down. When you get the wealth part down, let me know eh? (I thought I would throw some Canadian lingo in there for ya:)
