This is a picture of my Father in Law Max.
I love him.
Yesterday he celebrated his 69th birthday.
We made him a Strawberry/ Rhubarb/Saskatoon pie (and a ham dinner;) because he likes that kind of pie. We even made him blow out some candles!
...only Nate had to be the one to actually blow them out.
At one point Sam jumped in to blow a candle out and Nate got mad.
REALLY mad!
So...we had to stop everything and re light all the candles.
....And sing Happy Birthday again
....And let Nate blow ALL the candles out all on his very own
You see, Nate is convinced that EVERY birthday is HIS birthday.
The other kids in the family would never put up with it.
But Grandpa is quite content to sit back and let Nate have his way.
In fact, I think Grandpa enjoys making Nate happy.
And that is just one of the reasons why we LOVE Grandpa!
