For the past two years Abby has been a part of Girls Choir and she has absolutely LOVED it!
She has had the opportunity to travel to Ottawa, Calgary and at the end of this month - Edmonton, where they always garner gold or superior ranking. It's a joy to watch her be a part of a group and I'm so grateful for it. (Though it can make for a busy schedule for Abby and her momma;)
This past weekend the girls hosted their year end concert. They teamed up with the local Cantrice Women's Ensemble and even invited a group of male singers to make a guest appearance as well. To close out the concert, all three groups joined together to sing a rendition of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" which is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. The choirs formed a circle around the audience to sing and it was incredibly moving to hear this song in surround sound!
I love that the love for music is growing inside of this girl!
